UniCredit Group

Welcome to www.hvb-frauenbeirat.de — the official website of the HVB Women's Council!

HypoVereinsbank, Member of UniCredit, was the first bank in Germany to start its own Women's Council which aims to set a new tone in the German banking world.

The Women's Council comprises approximately 30 outstanding female entrepreneurs and managers. The committee advises the Bank's Management Board on economic and socio-political topics and provides recommendations on how to consolidate and promote the role of women in the financial sector.

With the Women's Council, we aim to reflect the constantly increasing importance of women in financial and purchasing decisions. The Women's Council will play a significant role in addressing the specific needs of both the Bank's female employees and female customers more effectively.

Today, women represent an extremely customer segment for us. Moreover, more than 50% of our workforce are women. Nevertheless they are still underrepresented at management level in the Bank.

The Women's Council aims to support the Bank in this goal by setting up initiatives and developing various measures. On the one hand, we want to benefit from the valuable consulting expertise of female entrepreneurs and on the other hand to do our part to further strengthen the role of women in the German economy.

As the initiators of the Women's Council, we want to support these goals within the context of our joint patronage. Thank you for your interest in this initiative and also for the proposals to the Women's Council that will help us to move a step closer to our joint goal.
